At grade, Train stations are usually straightforward in their design compared to Shallow underground or deep underground stations as large-scale temporary works may not be required. However, the planning and other aspects of the station remain pretty much the same. The train users need to enter the station, access the facilities on the station, and should be able to reach the platform to board the train. All this sounds very basic but there is a lot of planning which needs to go into every aspect right from car parking to lighting required at the platform.
